Max is a long-time London resident who knows an amazing amount about the city and many of its neighbourhoods. He has an obvious passion for history and linguistics, which make his tour so informative - beyond just the surface level facts. This tour is a perfect length, and Max took us to famous sights as well as hidden spots that we never would have found on our own. Many thanks to Max!

Description

As the hidden lanes and backstreets of the historical centre of London reveal their well-kept secrets, you will learn how this ancient district took shape.
During this tour we will walk through the City of London's hidden alleys and we will discover the key moments that shaped the old walled city throughout its 2000 years of history.
Along the way we will see London's smallest sculpture, one of writer Charles Dickens' favourite restaurants and even a famous door that Harry Potter fans will recognise. We will also evoke some of the characters who have left their mark on the history of the City, such
as a goose who became the mascot of a local market, or Thomas Faryner, the royal baker from whose premises one of London's most catastrophic events started.
This guided tour through the City of London, a district of dazzling contrasts with many traditions and customs still well in place, will make you discover a facet of London widely unexplored.
The tour City of London: Tales and Legends starts next to Tower Hill station and ends in front of St Paul's Cathedral.

London history and fun facts🇬🇧
The tour takes place in the city centre but not in the usual places visitors normally get to. That's why - as people who have visited London quite some times and have done all the "touristic things" already - we got to learn new stuff and discover some hidden spots. Max is super friendly and willing to give you historical knowledge, fun facts and curiosities. You will be fascinated by everything you'll get the chance to see and discover with him (something Harry Potter related, too😉). The tour was interesting the whole time and we really enjoyed it. Thanks Max😍
