Description

Starting at Waterloo Station in London, we’ll take a short train journey to the charming market town of Guildford in Surrey. After taking in the town's celebrated high street and castle, we’ll begin our walk.

Meandering up to Pewley Hill and on to the picture-perfect spot of St Martha's on the Hill, we’ll be treated to breathtaking views over the Surrey Hills, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

After stopping for photos, we’ll head into the popular village of Shere. Easily recognisable as the setting for the film The Holiday, this will be our lunch spot for the day!

We'll have an hour in Shere to enjoy a traditional pub lunch, feed the ducks on the stream, peruse the shops, and explore the Church of St. James, which dates back to the 12th century!

Once everyone is ready, we’ll continue our walk, passing through even more beautiful countryside and on to the ruins of the Chilworth Gunpowder Mills. We’ll eventually reach the River Wey, lined with canal boats and picturesque footbridges.

We then head back into Guildford where we have the option of stopping for a drink before returning to London.
