Why locals love it
This is a great way to raise your heart rate and get an *almost* 360 view of the west side (marina del Rey is blocked but honestly you're not missing much). Locals love to hike up the surprisingly hard steps followed by a short walk to downtown Culver for easy brunch.
Why you should visit it
Definitely a locals vibe. Most people don't know it exists and it is not on the tourist scene. Juiced up meat heads, hipsters after their soul cycle class with blue bottle coffee in hand, that annoying girl blaring her iPhone at max volume, families, obese people doing their healthy chore for the week...this is a way too see the real deal.
Special tip
Parking by the hill gets packed. Bring water. Go early.
