Located on the southern edge of Koreatown, Feng Mao with its lamb based Korean style kebabs is a unique find even for a local well versed in Korean cuisine. It's a great place to gather with friends for a communal cook at the table experience washed down with beer or soju. Reasonably priced.
Very mom and pop, non commercial. The clientele is a cross section of Asian Americans mixed with foodie LA types of all colors who like to dive deep into local cuisine. As real LA as it gets.
Best to go in a small group of 4 - 6 people. If you're not sure how hungry you are, you can order more skewers as you go.
