Funky Sole

Why locals love it

Funky Sole gained a lot of attention after the band Walk the Moon mentioned it as an inspiration for their hit song "Shut Up and Dance," though city savvy locals have been loving it for years. While a lot of LA clubs can feel like sweaty invitations for strangers to come grind on you, Funky Sole is a place where you can just have fun dancing.

Why you should visit it

The Echo is an iconic music club in LA, and the back patio is absolutely adorable. It's fairy lights and old time feel really make you forget you're in LA in the 21st century. While it can get a little crowded some nights (make sure you split your time between inside and outside if that's the case), it's a great place to dance and be carefree.

Special tip

Funky Sole is on Saturdays at the Echo. If you get there before 10:30 its free, and anytime after its 5 dollars at the door.
