In the heart of Little Tokyo, Japanese Village Plaza has a collection of stores, restaurants, and art galleries that are definitely worth a browse. The grounds are decorated in Japanese lanterns and different mini-gardens, and contain some of the best Japanese food in Los Angeles.

The area is a cultural hub, housing many different festivals, and with a Buddhist temple just around the corner. There is a Hello Kitty store, and a Tokyo Outlet that is full of adorable stuffed animals, incense, cooking supplies, and more. This is a great place to shop and eat.
This is the place to try Shabu-Shabu, a traditional Japanese dish where you boil meat in water. It's a fun, interactive dining experience.
