This museum follows art in history from years ago to contemporary times. There are always new exhibits going on, depending on when you plan to visit. Meanwhile, there is also an outdoor area that features some interactive art pieces, which are great for the younger ones.

Why you should visit it

Guided tours are available upon appointment for various sized groups. Additionally, photos can be taken from most the exhibits and collections, unless they specifically request otherwise. The obline website describes which seasonal exhibits are available to view.

There is a lot of ART, and the campus is beautiful. Bing theatre, they're little theatre shows very cheap Tuesday matinees of classic movies@$4. But sitting in a theatre when you want to see LA is not optimal.

Lots to see and do here. True museum maniacs will need a whole day to cover everything here...and then some. They have a few revolving exhibits and some permanent so check to ensure you strategize for time to see what you like first. They have great events as well - music and other festivities so check their calendar online. Love the coffee shop at the entrance and their gift shop as well. Remember to take a pic in front of the iconic street lights out by the front! (LA County residents get to enter for free certain dates so plan accordingly)
