This is the old original zoo in Los Angeles. It is abandoned because during the depression, there was not enough money or resources to upkeep the animals and their cages. Furthermore, the cages are much smaller than the new zoo that is built right by this one.
Why you should visit it
This place is perfect for any history lover. Additionally, it is also perfect for a picnic or a daytime adventure. You can actually walk around the whole zoo, and even into the old cages if you hunt hard enoughn. And since its abandoned, there is not admission fee.
