Los Angeles is famous for its comedy, and one place that is well known for helping fledgling talent is the Upright Citizen Brigades Theater. Started by Amy Poehler and friends in the early 1990s, UCB has become a well-known name in the comedy world in most major cities in the US.
Why you should visit it
Improv theater is very interactive for an audience. The troupes get suggestions from the audience before starting each act, and then perform per the words they've been given. Each troupe is comprised of different members with different strengths and characters, making each show completely different than the last.
