Loveland has been known as the "Gateway to the Rockies" and it would be unfortunate to miss visiting Rocky Mountain National Park if you're in the area. Enjoy 300 miles of hiking trails, wildflowers and wildlife as well as breath-taking views.

Even if you're not the hiking type, you can still drive to scenic overlooks and see the alpine world at 12,000 feet on Trail Ridge Road. This road is usually open Memorial Day weekend through Mid-October, but check the website for weather and info if you plan to go Spring or Fall.
The park can get packed in the summer, so plan ahead and perhaps leave a little earlier.
