Why locals love it

I like this place for the view. It's a little off the beaten path, and I feel like there is a special atmosphere there. You see the roof tops around, the buildings in Part Dieu and way beyond. Just above the square, there is a big rock (in french, le gros cailloux) and from there by good weather you can see the Mont Blanc.
