I'm looking for a interesting, off the beaten path locations to film a travel show about Lyon. Quirky, funny and unusual places that might spark the interest of our viewers.

- Hidden or fairly unknown, but interesting/funny bar/shop/restaurant/hotel in one of the traboules.
- Interesting or funny shop/atelier/gallery/project relating to the former silk industry of the city. Preferably in La Croix-Rousse.
- Unusual place to end the night in La Confluence. Cool, funny or interesting parties or projects might help!

I'm looking forward to your replies, and would be very grateful for any information that might help.

Thank you.

With kind regards,
Daan

Hello !

In La Confluence best place to go at night is Le Sucre. Sometimes there is nice events at peniche Loupika.
If you are looking for unusual place to have fun if you are in Lyon between 23 to 25 february there is a really cool artsy festival called "urban art jungle festival" with young designers, food trucks and performances in a old building https://www.facebook.com/urbanartjunglefestivallyon/

Hope it helps,

How about the exercise area next to the Rhône river, where the street performers practice on the weekends, usually the mornings I believe. You see them doing acrobatics on the exercise bars there.

Hey,
You could try the book Lyon Secret & Insolites, I used to have it it was full of places ! The new 2017 edition.
Maybe La Taverne Gutenberg, artists residency could be a good place for you. :-)

Yeah I know but each page is a photo of an unexpected place. The text next to it is just to explain the story behind it. Maybe grab it in a Fnac store just to have a look to photos of places might be interesting and then Google the name or the address :-)
