Apart from being an oasis of peace and quiet in the bustling city, it is very intimate place. If you don't feel like walking around in a museum for hours on end but want to get to know Spanish art, then this is your destination. You can visit this small museum in an hour.

The museum has a beautifully kept garden with lovely water features. In addition, there are nice, comfortable park benches it is free to enter into the garden which for some of us locals is like a quiet haven amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. The museum itself is deserving of the title national treasure and contains many Sorolla's more intimate works such as portraits of his family, friends and favourite places; fitting as it was once the artist's home.
