Why locals love it
Dating back to 1770 this Zoo has a big place in the hearts of Madrids animal lovers. It is located in the huge green area of Casa de Campo, which also holds an amusement park. In contrast to Madrids other zoo 'Faunia', this Zoo offers all the popular big animals, and is one of just four zoos in Europe to have Giant Pandas.

Why you should visit it
Lions, bears, giraffes, rhinos and many more. They're all here in this huge animal park hosting more than 500 different species. From tiny insects to big sharks. Shows with dolphins and majestic birds are very popular, and the aquarium-part of the park is spectacular. A great day out for the family.
Special tip
Don't forget your hat and the suncreen if visiting during the summer months, as you naturally will be walking a lot out in the open.
