Central Library

Why locals love it

It's a great piece of architecture both from the outside and the inside. In the entrance hall there is a nice cafe' where you can have a coffee or a bite. There are also displays about the history of Manchester and its community and you can also access the BFI film archive for free in one of the booth.

Why you should visit it

It's a very nice building to discover with more than one floor dedicated to different subjects. Even if you don't want to borrow books you can still appreciate it thanks to the interactive displays on the ground floor about life in Manchester and its history. It's also a nice place where to have a little break.
