Lust Luck Liquor & Burn, also known as Almost Famous, is the place for having the best burger in your life. And I'm not kidding! They are inspired by American and Mexican cuisine serving nachos, tacos, burritos and burgers. It is always a good choice for food! But beware as locals love it the place can get full fast and there might be a table wait.

Trof

They describe themselves as an opulent den but the real reason locals love Trof is because it's such a comfortable place to hang out. The decor is New York cool meets your (eccentric) Nan's living room: three floors of low-lighting, exposed brickwork, bric-a-brac furniture and kooky features (such as reindeer heads and retro wallpaper).

It has a amazing quality food for the price and the lamb chops are out of the world. Well in Manchester. Price can get a little high but totally worth it due to its quality. I'd also recommend there dessert sticky toffee pudding which is also really nice. With the main it depends on how hot or mild you like it so I'd recommend asking the staff

Not quite as edgy as the website makes out, but new eatery and bar Neighbourhood is a great example of how the glamorous Manchester glitterati like to party. With NYC-cool decor, cocktails and menu (pimped up US comfort food), this venue morphs from restaurant to club as the tunes gradually escalate over the night. Open for breakfast and lunch too.

Great value authentic Indian food.
It is hard to find and a little rough around the edges, locals flock here for the cheap and tasty curries.
I love the vegetarian, 'Rice and Three Curries' - which costs less than a fiver.
Things you need to know; it does not open in the evenings, there are no alcoholic drinks, you eat at shared long tables.
