Mackie Mayor has many small restaurants to choose from in one hall. All the ones I have tried in there have been good. Also a nice wine shop. Manchester's newest restaurant is Tast, Catalan cuisine. I ate there recently and it was very good.

If u like italian cousine go to Salvi's or Cicchetti, if u like pizza go to Rudy's, in December will be cold so to make u warm a soup in Wagamama in Spinningfield is the best. brazilian food Bem Brasil, spanish food La Bandera or El Rincon (if u wanna eat more and more).. But in Northern Quarter u can find so many nice and various places suitable to your preferences..

I guess it depends on how far you want to travel and how much you want to pay ... I want my food tasty and cheap so sub £10 per meal. I hate paying £30 and the food being average.

There is a really good thai place right in the center in the shopping center. I usually avoid big mall food places but this place is tasty, main&drink=£6 https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g187069-d12842922-Reviews-Hong_Thai-Manchester_Greater_Manchester_England.html

panchos burrito is mexican main&drink=£7.50

then hop on a 42 bus £1 each way to a place called curry mile down oxford road A stretch of indian restaurants . one of my faves is a place called "Jaffa" its been there over 20 years and the grilled chicken is excellent, £6 and they also do a great salad £4

but all of these are not really restaurants as such so if you want that and If you have more to spend then the best steak I have ever had was at a place called hawksmoor but that was a £50 meal, well worth the money tho, but could blow the budget.

I hope that all helps
