They describe themselves as an opulent den but the real reason locals love Trof is because it's such a comfortable place to hang out. The decor is New York cool meets your (eccentric) Nan's living room: three floors of low-lighting, exposed brickwork, bric-a-brac furniture and kooky features (such as reindeer heads and retro wallpaper).

It's the kind of place where that Sunday afternoon pint turns into one more and before you know it, it's dark outside and you're wobbly on your feet. The music gets turned up at the weekend and the food is brilliant. Trof is infamous for their English fry-up, Sunday roast and burgers (try the Pulled Pork one please).
The top room is perfect for a love tryst whilst on the smokers terrace, outside definitely feels more inside, welcomed in the Manchester drizzle.
