As much of the Eastern villages, Bras d'Eau is located in the middle of nowhere and is difficult to access even by car. Its natural reserve is thus not so popular among tourists and locals, which makes it one of the wildest spots for trails.

Why you should visit it
If you're into the wild, Bras d'Eau might be the best that Mauritius has to offer. The walk from main entrance to the beach is quite short (45mn) so you can endlessly wander around the woods, down to the river and waterfalls. The beach itself is accessible by road for those who'd like to skip to the swim.
Special tip
Bring food and water supplies as there are no shops near this location. Picnic on the beach is the best!
