Why locals love it

The Domaine Anna is near the touristic city of Flic-en-Flac, but in the middle of a wide plantation that requires a fun car ride. The scenery is quite spectacular, as the Domaine breeds its own fish and seafood and nurtures a vivid garden. The tables surrounded by water offer the perfect romantic setting.

Why you should visit it

It's a great place to break from the busy towns and common local restaurants, while not ending in a tourist trap. Save it for a special occasion and don't worry about the budget. Fresh fish and seafood dishes start around Rs500 (EUR13/USD15) but the bill isn't as salty as the gorgeous fish lakes in there.

Special tip

Make a reservation and ask for a "table-sur-pilori". The place is great for diner but if you want to walk around the property, it is better for lunch.

This must the worst place to eat. Service super slow and inexperienced staff. Food came in very slow 40 minutes. Food came cold. Waited for the manager for 35 minutes and was in a foul mood and did not excuse her service the staff gave us. People arrived 20 minutes after us managed to get their food together and hot just because they are tourist. This is a complete crap establishment please just close your door if you are unable to provide a service and food on time. Please don't go if you are not a tourist they don't want locals there very sad

My wife, Marie and I, have eaten here many times over many years. She is originally from Mauritius but has lived overseas for more than 35 years. All her family still live there. When we go back to Mauritius, Domaine Anna is always one of our essentials on our TTD. We treat ourselves and our family to wonderful food and have never had cause to complain. In fact, my wife was there last night to celebrate New Years. Alas, I couldn't be with her and I'm left behind here in Australia. I find your comments particularly strange I have to say. Judging by your use of language in the article you wrote, I'm wondering if this establishment is not really suitable for you on a few different levels. Flic-en-Flac after all, does has some really good beachside bars that may be more suitable for perhaps the less urbane.
