Why locals love it
La Croisette is the most faithful representation of the Western World available in Mauritius. It is a wide, modern and well-maintained mall with many luxury shops, fine dining restaurants, and sophisticated public areas. Although it sure pleases, it is quite expensive for locals and is rather empty even on weekends.
Why you should visit it
Whatever you forgot to bring and might desperately need, La Croisette probably has it. If you're craving for a glass of fine wine, you probably won't be disappointed there either. Otherwise, it's worth paying a visit to see what locals truly enjoy there: its slightly overpriced food court.
Special tip
Try the Korean or the Indian fast food place for a budget meal, and the Italian wine bar for a drink.
