Its remote location makes it a quiet and safe choice for relaxing. Also, the strong currents and winds make it a first choice beach for kitesurfing and other watersports activities.
Why you should visit it
If you love surfing and sailing, Le Morne is definitely a must-go for you. But even if you're not, it's a great beach to visit since it is mostly wild and quiet. Le Morne hill, that you can see from the beach, is a cultural landmark as it was the refuge for runaway slaves, and the tragic spot where many committed suicide from fear of being caught.
Special tip
Pack water, food, and fill the tank before because there are no shops near the beach. Go there on a sunny warm day since the wind is chilling.
