Why locals love it
Although slightly overpriced and populated as any shop in the Northern city of Grand Baie, the Beach House offers a casual yet coolish atmosphere that's quite difficult to find in Mauritius. It has the soul of the backpacker and the taste of the high roller, combined in a beachy surfery setting ideal for groups to hang out.

Why you should visit it
Compared with other bars in this area, the Beach House has probably the nicest location and very decent cocktails. Service is not too slow and for a sandy place, it's pretty neat. However, I don't recommend ordering food other than snacks because dishes are ridiculously expensive (Rs500+) for mediocre pub food.
Special tip
You can park in the lot opposite the Beach House's entrance (not clearly indicated) but parking costs Rs20. Yes, the owners are THAT cheap.
