Visit a farm without
leaving the city!
Collingwood Children's Farm8
Why locals love it
Only 5km from the the Melbourne CBD, just on the Yarra River is an oasis of seven hectares of paddocks, gardens, orchards, rustic buildings and shady trees. The Collingwood Children's Farm is a not-for-profit community resource providing country experiences for city people.
The onsite cafe is also a great place to go for breakfast!

Why you should visit it
If you're a city slicker, you (or the kids!) can milk a cow, bottle feed lambs, help with farm chores, go into the paddocks with the sheep and goats, feed the chooks, look for eggs or just sit and unwind under a shady tree or on the banks of the Yarra river. Even if you don't have kids, it's a lovely place to relax and get away.
Special tip
The farm lies on the Capital City Trail bike path, so grab a bike, and head on down!
