With a menu that rotates daily, Crossways always provides generous servings of Indian main meals and deserts. Hidden up a flight of stairs that are nestled between two shopfronts, Crossways is popular with university students as its set price entitles you free seconds. As all the staff are Hare Krishna, the food is always vegan, but very filling.
Because it's barely visible from the street, you can't just stumble into Crossways. It's a hidden gem but locals come back time and time again for the cheapest and most generous portions in the city centre. And, while you're eating, you can also grab a book on Hare Krishna philosophy.
If the first floor is too busy, head up to the second floor! Also, make sure you pack up your cutlery and stack your dishes when you're done.
