This park has everything you could possibly ask for! The gardens themselves are beautiful, full of all kinds of plants and flowers, with plenty of lush green picnic spots. Within the park, you'll find the Royal Exhibition Building, the Melbourne Museum, and even an IMAX Movie Theatre!
Why you should visit it
The Royal Exhibition Building is an iconic old 19th Century structure that still houses interesting exhibitions, festivals and events to this day. Opposite the Exhibition Building you'll find the much newer Melbourne Museum, which has lots of good exhibits, including lots of natural history (and yes, this includes big dinosaurs!)
Special tip
Climb on the roof of the west carpark entrance to watch the sunset... just don't tell anyone I told you to! This one works especially well on dates ;)
