This small seaside town makes you feel like you have stepped back in time with its beautiful historical buildings. It can also be included as a stop on a longer drive down to Torquay, Lonsdale, or further along the Great Ocean Road.

Cute shops, cafes and restaurants dot the main street, making it a great place to explore on foot. The Bellarine Scenic Railway is a popular way for visitors to see the area.
Special tip
For a bit of variety, you take your car on the ferry from Queenscliff over to Portsea, and then drive back to Melbourne via the East side of the bay.
