Werribee Gorge Circuit Walk
Why locals love it
Only approximately 1hr drive from Melbourne, this walk offers lovely views and a real sense of adventure. In terms of difficulty, it would probably be graded medium/hard as there are some steep sections as well as a wire cable section. It has two loop tracks to choose from, both starting and finishing at Meikles Point Picnic Area.

Not only will you experience a great day of exercise, but you will also see a part of Melbourne and its surrounds that many visitors miss. This area is home to a large array of wildlife and also has some interesting history which can be read about on information boards along the walking path.
Special tip
Try to avoid this walk after heavy rain as the river is prone to swelling
