The history of this liberty building located at the corner beetween Via Melzo and Via Frisi is a slice of the history of Milan. Designed by architects Tettamanzi and Mainetti in 1910, it was one of the first cinemas in the city and later converted into a garage. In 2001, after a period of neglect, was finally used as a district library.

This building is one of the best preserved examples of liberty in the city. Unfortunately, to the original project, now remains only the facade. Thanks to the foresight of some local residents the building was put under protection and in 2001 was inaugurated the library.
The library is now covered by wifi!
