Street food behind the
Duomo
Panzerotti Luini42
Why locals love it
Luini makes amazing panzerotti – pillowy fried dough parcels stuffed with tomato and mozzarella. The Milanese have made a beeline for Luini's windows since it first opened in 1888, and now there's always queue in front of this hole-in-the wall shop, especially at lunchtime. Panzerotti is street food at its best; cheap, cheerful, quick and tasty.

Why you should visit it
Panzerotti, panzerotti, panzerotti. Try a variety of fillings like the original tomato and mozzarella, the classic ricotta and spinach, and the mouthwatering spicy salami. Panzerotti come baked, fried, and even with sweet fillings. At €2.50 each, they're one of the best budget snacks in the area.
Special tip
Order two or three panzerotti, one is never enough!
