Description

Milan isn’t famous for being a food city, and very few people know that it has a long and rich culinary tradition.

Some Milanese foods are now iconic, for example the yellow saffron risotto and all of its variants (try the one with sausage and Bonarda wine, or the asparagus…), the cotoletta (veal steak) and ossobucco, not to mention seasonal cakes such as panettone and pan dei morti. Milan is also home to some of the greatest Italian chefs, including Marchesi and Cracco.

This itinerary is perfect for your first trip to Milan. You’ll visit the most important monuments and get to know their history – the Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele and the Scala Opera House – plus some off-the-beaten-path locations.

You’ll also visit some historical shops and a café: the world-famous Peck grocery store, Pasticceria Galli, known for being filmmaker Luchino Visconti’s favourite, Pasticceria Marchesi and, of course, the Camparino bar, home of Campari since 1915.

Discover the secrets of a real Milanese aperitivo and get to know the history of the negroni sbagliato. Find out where to get the best gelato in town. Learn how to eat and drink the Milanese way!

Wonderful guide
Our guide was punctual, courteous, and professional. He was able to show
us photographs of the condition of The Last Supper, after the ravages of WWII.
He answered all our questions, told us what to expect when we entered the church to see the painting (fresco). It was an experience that I will not forget.
I would not hesitate to recommend our guide and his services to anyone who needs a great experience.
Thank you.
Giacomo & Emanuela are wonderful! Thanks!
If you want to see the miraculous
We tried for months to get tickets for a specific day to see the Last Supper Despite all of our attempts this experience was stuck in our bucket list. Like a local made it happen. Our Giuide was excellent and created the foundation for us to truly appreciate the artistry and history of this masterpiece. Thank you Giacomo Zavatteri
