Milan is here to surprise you with our food tradition.

Some of the most iconic Italian foods are Milanese.
The most famous is maybe the yellow saffron risotto and all of its variants (try the one with sausage and Bonarda wine, or the asparagus…).
The cotoletta (veal steak) and ossobucco are also a must.
Not to mention seasonal cakes such as panettone and pan dei morti. Milan is also home to some of the greatest Italian chefs, including Marchesi and Cracco.

This itinerary is perfect for your first trip to Milan. You’ll visit the most important monuments and get to know their history – the Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele and the Scala Opera House – plus some off-the-beaten-path locations.

You’ll also visit some historical shops and a café: the world-famous Peck grocery store, Pasticceria Galli, known for being filmmaker Luchino Visconti’s favourite, Pasticceria Marchesi and, of course, the Camparino bar, home of Campari since 1915.

Discover the secrets of a real Milanese aperitivo and get to know the history of the negroni sbagliato. Find out where to get the best gelato in town. Learn to enjoy life the Milanese way!

Ask for Silvia as your Guide
We booked through LikeaLocal at the last minute due to tickets being sold out everywhere for months for the Last Supper. Although it was more expensive it was definitely worth every penny, the booking was very easy and the tour guides were very accommodating even though they had double booked.

We ended up having a private tour with Silvia and she was brilliant, she was very knowledgeable and friendly, she walked us around the venue first and told us all the history of the building prior to going into the actual tour. She was very passionate and informative about art in general, so much so a few people joined in to listen to her as she explained the painting to us from different angles.

I'd highly recommend booking through LikeaLocal and definitely ask for Silvia!

Excellent tour!!!
Great private tour of the Last Supper and Basilica di Santa Maria delle Grazie
Our guide, Giacomo, was great and had extensive knowledge. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and highly recommend him. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Milan.
Excellent choice
We had a great time with Giacomo showing us around the Duomo and explaining us everything in very nice detail. He was very knowledgeable and also shared many interesting stories with us not only concerning the Duomo itself, but also about the city. Some highlights of the tour was seeing the craddle of Christianity below the Duomo Plaza and the great views from the rooftop across Milan.
Giacomo also had some excellent tips for restaurants and places to see! Thanks for a perfect start of our visit to the city.
I was in Milan for a company conference. Saturday morning was booked for a guided tour of some art museum and the Duomo. Art is not something that interests me in any way, so I did not expect too much. But, with such an inspired and knowledgeable guide as Giacomo Zavatteri even I truly enjoyed art, the walk in the city and the Duomo.

Book tour and you can't go wrong. My guess is that Giacomo can make almost anything you choose to visit interesting.
