Once called “Usteria de la Madunina” (The Tavern of the Madonna), this place is one of the oldest taverns in the Porta Ticinese neighbourhood. It has an informal atmosphere, and it’s a real pleasure to eat traditional Milanese dishes outdoors in the courtyard, especially in summer.

This is where you’ll find typical Milanese cuisine. The service is great but you’ll need to book, especially if you plan on coming here at night. Classic dishes include "cotoletta alla Milanese” (similar to wiener schnitzel), "risotto con ossobuco" (rice with marrowbone) and "cassoeula" (meat and vegetable stew).
Don’t talk about football if you don’t support Inter Milan! The owners, Paolo and Fabio, are big fans of this team.
