Church of Saints Simon and Helena4
Why locals love it
According to local legend, a girl named Alena and her younger brother were very ill. An angel visited Alena in a dream and ordered her to build a cathedral. When she awoke, she drew a beautiful red brick cathedral. After the children died, their father, Edward Vaynilovich, built the cathedral in their honour.
Why you should visit it
This cathedral is special as it’s red on the outside as well as on the inside. It’s a reserved place for honouring the Belarusian spirit. Nowadays it hosts concerts, theatre performances and art exhibitions.
