White symbol of
freedom
Minsk Town Hall (Менская ратуша)3
Why locals love it
Minsk Town Hall was built in the 16th century according to the Magdeburg Law. During earlier times it was damaged by fires and wars, and even ruined. In 2003 it was restored. Lots of historical documents from the archives of Minsk, Warsaw, Vilnius and other cities were used in the restoration process.
Why you should visit it
Now you can admire the whiteness of Minsk Town Hall – the symbol of freedom, resistance and pride. The nearby square remains as it was in the 19th century. Inside the Town Hall you can learn about Minsk through centuries, and check out a model of the city from the 19th century.
Special tip
Entrance is free. The Town Hall is only open to visitors on Saturdays.
