Reinventing the
casse-croûte
Quebecoise
Chez Tousignant7
Why locals love it
Chez Tousignant needs no introduction as locals were lining up to get into this place as early as its first day. Spearheaded by chefs Yann Turcotte, Michele Forgione, and Stefano Faita, the trio set out to open their own Quebec-style casse-croûte after having conquered Little Italy with their Italian fare – and it works.

Why you should visit it
With a vintage diner decor and a menu to match, this snack bar takes on the nostalgic favourites you loved to eat as a kid (think Saint-Hubert’s rotisserie chicken or La Belle Province’s burgers, hot dogs, and poutine). The exception? Everything here is made in-house using quality ingredients so you don’t have to feel guilty about eating fast food.
Special tip
In summer, Chez Tousignant serves up shrimp and lobster rolls – get them while they’re still in season!
