While tourists swarm on ground level in this neck of the woods, the fifth floor of the hundred-year-old Hotel Nelligan is filled with a trendy local crowd. We all know that Montrealers love their terraces and Terrasse Nelligan has taken it up a notch so that you can experience one from up high.
Why you should visit it
The patio provides impressive views of the Notre-Dame Basilica and Saint-Lawrence River. Enjoy lunch in the sun or small bites from the grill over cocktails for the ideal summer evening. A favourite – and my go-to – is the sparkling white wine sangria. Other tasty concoctions are the mojito, martinis, and spiked (or alcohol-free) smoothies.

Terrasse Nelligan is open during summer only, weather permitting.
