Why locals love it

GUM is both an architectural landmark and a luxury shopping centre. It’s a favourite spot for many Moscow locals. Here you can shop, admire some amazing Neo-Russian architecture, enjoy a typical Russian lunch at an affordable place, or sip a cup of coffee at a fancy restaurant with views towards the Red Square.

Why you should visit it

Breathtaking Russian architecture from the early 20th century, upscale shopping, local food and groceries, fancy dining, souvenirs – if you’re interested in any of these things then GUM is a place you should definitely visit.

Special tip

If you want to taste traditional Soviet cuisine, have lunch at "Stolovaya №57". For a more sophisticated experience head to Bosco Bar.

Beautiful shopping center. I recommend just walk through it, but do not make a purchase. Prices are high. The only thing worth to fork here is ice cream. On the upper floor there is an inexpensive dining room, but, as a rule, very crowded.
