Why locals love it
It's a pure gem near the centre of Moscow. It's hiding in a quiet place, staying away from crowds, tourists and even locals.
Firstly was built in 13 century (as a monastery), but, certainly, couldn't survive till now in it's intact, but current building were rebuilt in 1667—1727 years (as a Metropolitan's Chamber).
Why you should visit it
It's mysterious, charming and peaceful. You can literally touch the past here.
You should explore one of the buildings more thoroughly - Teremok (the green one on photos). It's just fascinating - consists of billions of small colourful pieces.
All buildings, except the cathedral, are abandoned and closed to the entrance.
It is not a monastery, looking more like a park managed by the clergy, but they are doing orthodox services as well
