Young and old stop by this cute monument to take pictures. The neighbourhood is utterly lovely as well, surrounded by the Novodevichiy Convent and its pond, skyscrapers of the business centre and the Moskva.
Why you should visit it
Americans, maybe you can reflect on the monument’s title. It’s a rip-off from the one in Boston! It was originally created in the U.S.A. in honour of characters from Robert McCloskey’s stories. Barbara Bush gave the Moscow copy to Raisa Gorbacheva as a symbol of love and friendship for the children of the USSR.
