Hi Jimmy!
The time of arrival at the customs is always different. 15 to 40 minutes.
From the airports I advise you to go by aeroexpress (https://aeroexpress.ru/en/aero.html), 40 minutes and you are almost in the center of Moscow.

Hi, it may take around 2,5-3 hours by aerosxpress trains + metro (Domodedovo - Paveletskaya metro station - Kievskaya metro station - aeroexpress Vnukovo or taxi frpom Domodedovo to Vnukovo from 40 minutes to 2 hours depending on traffic jams (about 40$). I'd prefer taxi, because it's much less headache. Aeroexpress trains are about 20$ alltogether, but in metro all signs are in ciryllic + you carry your things and run.
It may take from 20 minutes to 1 hour to go through the customs, depends on how many flights land at the same time and how long becomes the line of people in front of passport control. Hope it helps.

Dear Jimmy, the distance by taxi is 1 hour. But always depend on day and time because of the traffic. By public transport it will take 2 hours minimum (fast train from Vnukovo, metro, fast train to Domodedovo).
During the World Cup all airports will be under strict control. This means you have to arrive at least 1,5 hour before departure.

Hi Jimmy, I would agree it is hard to predict as a lot will depend on the traffic which during the World Cup can be worse or better. The best is to plan for 2,5h - 3h as advised by others + time to register and go through passport control/security. I would advise once you land in Vnukovo to check out in one of the taxi apps (Gett/Uber/Yandex) how long it will take to go by taxi (they normally take into account the real-time traffic) and then to decide whether it is better to take the Aeroexpress train. I guess there will be English speaking volunteers at the airport to advise if you will need immediate help :)

It will take about an hour by taxi (only if it's not a rush hours 5pm-8pm!) - the shortest possible route (Aeroexpress + metro will take more time (2.5 h) and money)
Customs do not normally take more than 20-30 minutes, but since it's World Cup, it may take more time, of course, and no one can predict it

Hi Jimmy, the travel time is much depends on the traffic. Up to 3 hours if the traffic is bad. Normally it can take 1,5-2 hours by taxi.
Regarding the time in customs (if you mean customs at the enter), it can be 30-40 min, but you have to be on the safe side diring FIFA, never know how many people will be this time.

Hi, Jimmy!
Please, take a look at the timetable of Aeroexpress from Vnukovo airport to Kievskaya metro station:
https://aeroexpress.ru/en/aero/toMoscow.html

it takes about 40 minutes.
Than you need to take the metro to go to Paveletsakya station. It's about 20 min.
Than on Paveletsky railway station take the Aeroexpress to Domodedovo airport. It takes 45 min.
https://aeroexpress.ru/en/aero/toAirport.html

Yes, it will take about 2,30 hours, but no traffic jam.
At the airport: to be for shure 2 hours before the international flight.

A one-way Aeroexpress journey and one metro (valid for five days, including the date of purchase) costs 560 roubles.

Hi Jimmy! The fastest way from one airport to another is by train aero express. They go from the airport to the center, then you should take a metro, an then aero express again. You can visit aeroexpress.ru and buy the ticket in advance

Depending on traffic jams...the quickest way would be the taxi for sure...you can install Uber, Yandex taxi, citymobil etc. and select airports there...you ll see the price right away, I think it should be not more than 1000-1200 rubles~less than 20eur...it should show supposed time of travelling. Uber will charge before the ride, the rest will charge by the end.
If the traffic is stuck - you can choose trains+metro: 40-45 min from vnukovo to Moscow + 15-20 min by metro + 40-45 min to domodedovo. You jump in the train and can buy ticket while travelling...in app "aeroexpress"...just use a barcode on the exit Gates (don't forget to add brightness on the phone:) any questions please ask)

Aeroexpress Vnukovo - Kievskaya, subway Kievskaya - Paveletskaya, aeroexpress Paveletskaya - Domodedovo.

45 + 20 + 45 min = around 2h
Please 1h as reserve ;)

About security - it depends, can be 15m or 1h
