The Kremlin is the heart of Moscow and has always been associated with the Russian Government.
Get to know the history of the Kremlin grounds and visit three of its cathedrals on a fascinating 2-hour tour.
First, we will head to the 16th-century Cathedral of the Archangel. See how it unites traditional Russian architecture with elements characteristic of the Italian Renaissance, and visit burial places of Moscow’s tsars and princes throughout the centuries.
Next, we will move on to the 15th-century Cathedral of the Annunciation, once a place of worship for tsars and the royal family, and a venue for wedding ceremonies and christenings. Admire the many works of art it houses, including frescoes that date back to 1508.
We will then visit the Uspensky Cathedral, also known as the Assumption Cathedral. Built in 1551, it’s a masterpiece by the Italian architect Aristotele Fioravanti.
Finally, we will admire the exterior of the Patriarch’s Palace, now a museum dedicated to the art and lifestyle of 17th-century Russia.
