Why locals love it

This trolleybus takes you from the heart of Moscow to the south-western part of the city. Instead of watching tired faces on the metro, you get great views through the windows the entire way! It makes a loop through the city centre so no matter what station you get on at, it will take you to the south-west.

Why you should visit it

My advice is to catch it at the bus stop Станция метро «Александровский Сад (Aleksandrovskiy Garden metro). You'll pass Manege Square, the State Duma, the Bolshoi Theatre, the FSB (KGB) building, the Kremlin, Red October, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour and Leninsky Prospekt, which is an excellent example of Stalinist architecture.

Special tip

Get off at the stop Lomonosovsky Prospekt and walk to the Moscow State University building (you’ll see its tower).
