Why locals love it
Its is one of the largest open spaces in the city with a landscape of tall buildings on one side and the vast Arabian sea on the other. Its refreshing to walk on the greens here or jog on the 2km. circumference of mud track for people right besides the racing track for horses.
Why you should visit it
Mahalaxmi race course has some good restaurants inside viz. Tote, Neel, Gallops. Given the huge open space it is also a venue for music concerts and other events. Travelers should visit to catch up on their running.
Special tip
If you're in the city for longer than a week you can take riding classes at the armature's riding club.
