I hate pre-packaged tours, and te great advantage of this one is that you can customise it. I know Mumbai quite well, but there were many places I didn't know about or had never got around to visiting, and this was perfect. However, if you are new to Mumbai, my engaging and helpful guide Rakesh's description of what he would suggest sounded really good to me. An air-conditioned car with a driver as well as a guide was perfect for a single or a couple,, or they will provide larger vehicles for larger groups. I suggest you do a little research yourself online, as there are places slightly off the beaten track that might be of interest.

Half day tour with Suraj
My first time in Mumbai so I wanted to have a quick tour of the city to have an idea of what should be explored. Mission accomplished. Suraj, my guide, despite his young age has a good knowledge of the places and their histories as he has lived his entire life in Mumbai. He is well spoken and easy to understand even for me who English is a second language. He is back to school to increase his knowledge. It is clear that he is passionate about what he is doing and I can see a great future for him in this industry. Thanks Suraj, great tour.
So glad I did it
Was visiting Mumbai for the first time. The sheer size of the city and the number of people here can be overwhelming. I’m traveling with a friend who was here on business so had a lot of time to myself. I didn’t want to come this far and stay inside a hotel so I booked a 1/2 day tour early in the morning for the same day. I received a confirmation call at 9:00 and scheduled pick up at the hotel for 1:00. My guide Dev was amazing as was his talented driver. Dev was very knowledgeable, and so enthusiastic about sharing his story and experience of living life in Mumbai and seeing it through his eyes. I saw beautiful people and beautiful places much deeper than the sometimes harsh visuals of a very difficult life for many. I saw more than I knew I wanted to, enjoyed great conversation, and ended the day feeling greatly enriched. We arrived back to the hotel about 6:30. Thank you Dev. This is a small company, a tight team, and a great team. They spoke of their admiration for their management and how well respected and treated they were. A smart boss that knows happy employees make for happy customers. I was very impressed. Its not a luxury tour if that’s what you’re looking for, but for me it was exactly the “real” experience I wanted. The price was an incredible bargain.
