Why locals love it

Well spaced out art gallery with an eclectic mix of temporary exhibitions, which always have a strong connection to recent historical events.

Why you should visit it

The building dates from 1933-1936, and it was built on the orders of Adolf Hitler to exhibit the Nazi idea of art that idolized the regime and all it held dear. The basement still houses the thousands of paintings from the Nazi era that are considered as 'bad art'.

Special tip

On Sundays the ticket is only EUR 1.00
