Parco Virgiliano

Why locals love it

The phrase said by the German poet J. W. Goethe "see Napoli and then die" could not be more appropriate to the panoramic views provided by the Virgiliano park. It is a quite and well respected place where Neapolitans go to enjoy a break from the chaos of the city or to find peace in the breathtaking beauty of the bays of Napoli and Pozzuoli

Why you should visit it

Tourists should visit it to take a break from the city and to see the full-fledged beauty of the views of Napoli. The park sits on top of the Posillipo hill that literally divides the bay of Napoli from the bay of Pozzuoli. It is also refreshing during summer days. The walk develops into a circle and midway you are right on the top of the hill!

Special tip

It is slightly off the tracks and you need to plan public transport well. Often during summer the park is venue to concerts. Highly recommended.
