I'm getting an Italian -themed tattoo, and not sure if it's just "Va fa Napoli", or "Va' fa Napoli" or even "Và fa Napoli" :) I've heard all three of them, but wan't to be sure!

You are getting it all wrong.. That sounds like "fuck Napoli 😂" Please, write in english the content of your tattoo, otherwise I cannot help you

"It literally means ‘Go to Naples.’ There are many variations on that - ‘Go to hell’ would be the politest one."
That is what i found from internet. And it really is not supposed to be an insult, only sarcastic and funny thing!
First time i heard it was in one Friends -episode where Joey says it to Chandler: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2lYwhLX3zs
I live in Naples and never heard about that.. but those are american actors who try to imitate Italian words.. I see from the gesture that the guy clearly wanted to tell them to fuck off xD "vaffa" is surely the reductive term for "vaffanculo" so I would never tatoo that.. If you want something just write "visit Napoli" or "vai a Napoli" or in dialect "vattenne a Napoli"

I looked about the phrase, now I got your point.. but "va fa Napoli" isn't something Italians could understand.. maybe only americans or italians - americans
