Netanya boasts some of Israel's best coastline & Herzl Beach which can be reached from the end of Haatzmaut Square staircase winding down the cliff, offers water sports like jet skiing, parasailing and surfing. At the wave-breaker you can find people fishing and snorkling. The promenades are picturesque and romantic without the noisy crowds of TLV.

Why you should visit it
The clear water in the summer allows snorklers to see thousands of small & medium sized fish with scales that glisten, small crabs as well as sting-ray & jellyfish (seasonally). There are restaurants & cafes along Herzl & Sironit beaches, further up near the Four Seasons Beach is a bar that offers shisha smoking for reasonable prices.
Special tip
There are changing rooms/showers/toilets open until evening. The beaches are beautiful at night as the cliffs, promenade and square are lit up.
