Why locals love it

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden is nestled in the very heart of Brooklyn, located at the northeast corner of Prospect Park. Just next to the Brooklyn Museum, this cultural enclave is an astounding 52-acre botanic garden.

Why you should visit it

Boasting a Japanese hill-and-pond garden, a native flora garden, and an herb garden to boot, it is easy to spend hours meandering through the hidden paths and secret gardens of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. And altough it is beautiful year-round, the most hypnotic time to visit is during Cherry Blossom season in the spring.

Special tip

Entrance for adults is $10, students only pay $5, and children can enter for free!
