Why locals love it
My friend and I have called this place 5 for $10 for the longest time because the giant banner they hang outside that says "5 shots for $10 dollars" obscures the actual name. Fight your way through NYU students to get to the bar, order your shots and proceed to get drunk. Stay there for the evening or go around the corner for karaoke or Barcade.
Why you should visit it
A weird mix of hipsters but the crowd is mainly NYU students looking to get drunk for cheap. Most mixed shots are premixed so lemondrop shots are a bit watered down but you can't go wrong with tequila. Seats are impossible to get but they often play some movies on the back wall.
